GIN BLOSSOMS / TOAD THE WET SPROCKET

Early-’90s alt-rock hitmakers Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket will be on tour together this summer, with Vertical Horizon also on the bill. Dates kick off August 1 in Oshkosh, WI and wrap up August 24 in Essex Junction, VT.

WEEZER / FLAMING LIPS / DINOSAUR JR

Back in December, Weezer revealed they were planning “some kind of epic tour” to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their classic 1994 debut, Blue Album, this year. They’ve now officially announced “Voyage to the Blue Planet,” and it does indeed sound pretty epic. They’ll be playing arenas with support from two other classic ’90s-era (and beyond) bands, The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. They’re promising to play Blue Album in full, plus “other fan favorites, rarities and more.”

British ’70s rock greats 10cc have announced their first North American tour in over three decades.

FOUND FOOTAGE FESTIVAL

Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher will be taking their wierd VHS tapes with them on the road for a Found Footage Fetival spring tour. Stops include Tampa, Toronto, Kansas City, Albany, Louisville, and more. There’s also a special Brooklyn show celebrating FFF’s 20th Anniversary happening April 3 at The Bell House.

RÓISÍN MURPHY

Róisín Murphy has announced summer and fall North American shows. The summer dates surround her appearance at Bonnaroo and kick off in NYC at Brooklyn Paramount on June 7. Other June stops include Toronto, Chicago, and Miami. Her fall dates are in November, with stops in Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

MURDER CITY DEVILS

Murder City Devils‘ shows are few and far between these days, but they recently announced that they’ll play day three of the new emo-leaning Vegas fest Best Friends Forever in October, and now they announced a NYC show happening this summer.

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN

Having announced a trio of NYC reunion shows and a set at new CA festival No Values, The Dillinger Escape Plan are bringing their reunion to Chicago.

STING

Sting 3.0 is the name of the former Police frontman and global superstar’s new tour, and also the name of his new power trio. When you say “trio” and “Sting” it’s hard not to think of The Police, which is probably not unintentional, and the new group includes guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas.

JIMMY BUFFETT TRIBUTE AT HOLLYWOOD BOWL

The late Jimmy Buffett will be celebrated at a star-studded tribute show happening in Los Angeles this spring, with Paul McCartney, Eagles, Jon Bon Jovi, and many more.

RUSS / 6LACK / MELII

Russ will be on the “It Was You All Along” tour this summer with 6lack and Melii, and stops include Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on June 28.

WISP

Fast-rising shoegaze artist Wisp is supporting Panchiko on tour this spring, and she’s now announced a headlining US tour before and surrounding those dates.

SPRAYNARD

West Chester, PA emo-punks Spraynard haven’t released music since 2015’s Mable (and a couple splits that year), and they haven’t played live since reuniting for The Fest in 2019, but now they’re back (again)!

CUT WORMS

Cut Worms will be touring around their appearance at the High Water festival, hitting Columbus, Richmond, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia.

ADRIANNE LENKER

Big Thief‘s Adrianne Lenker releases her anticipated new solo album, Bright Future, later this month via 4AD, and begins her tour supporting it with a European run in April. She also plays Knoxville’s Big Ears Festival this month, and before that she’s announced an Brooklyn club show.

TANK / KERI HILSON / CARL THOMAS

Tank has announced The R&B Money tour which will have him out with Keri Hilson and Carl Thomas later in the spring. Dates begin May 10 in New Orleans and include a NYC stop at Kings Theatre on May 31.

JOANNA NEWSOM

It’s been almost a year since Joanna Newsom made her surprise return with an opening set at a Fleet Foxes show in LA, where she played five new songs and told the crowd that she has 11 new songs written. We still haven’t gotten any confirmation of a new album, but she since announced an appearance at Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party festival this May, and now she announced a solo harp and piano residency in Los Angeles called ‘The Strings/Keys Reincidence’ happening at Masonic Lodge.

THING FEST 2024

THING, the festival from Sasquatch founder Adam Zacks, has announced its 2024 edition, happening on August 9-11 at Remlinger Farms in Carnation, WA. It’s headlined by St. Vincent (on Friday), Toro Y Moi (on Saturday), and Black Pumas (on Sunday). Check out the full lineup here.

Skullcrusher added a second Brooklyn show, happening March 31 at Union Pool (the 3/29 Union Pool show is sold out).

POPULATION II

Montreal psych trio Population II have announced a new EP, Serpent Échelle, and will be touring this spring.

LIVING WAGE FOR MUSICIANS BENEFITS

Musicians’ union United Musicians and Allied Workers, in conjunction with Congressmembers Rashida Tlaib and Jamaal Bowman, have introduced the Living Wage for Musicians Act, that would create a new streaming royalty rates for musicians. They’ve also announced a few benefit concerts, including one in Brooklyn with Yo La Tengo and more.
