Laraaji recorded his new improvised piano album in a Brooklyn church

Laraaji‘s new album features solely the piano.

Sun Piano is made up of 12 improvised piano pieces that the New Age artist performed in a Brooklyn church, recorded by Mary Lattimore collaborator Jeff Zeigler.

This is Laraaji’s first release in his new piano trilogy, largely recorded in that same church session. Sun Piano, out July 17th via All Saints, will be followed by the companion album, Moon Piano, and later an EP of piano and autoharp duets. Release dates on those are still TBA.

Listen to “Temple Of New Light,” and watch a trailer for the album.
