Jeff Rosenstock announces 2nd Brooklyn residency show, Good Luck opening
Yesterday Jeff Rosenstock announced the first show of a “potentially infinite” residency at Greenpoint venue Warsaw, happening on August 21. Tickets went on sale this afternoon and they’re mostly sold out, so as promised, he’s announced another show the next night, at Warsaw on August 22. Tickets are on sale now.
Chris Farren has been added to the 8/21 show, and the newly announced date is with the newly-reunited Bloomington, Indiana DIY band Good Luck! It’s the band’s first-announced NYC show since they broke up in 2012, and the second-announced show of this current reunion (they recently announced Philly). They’re longtime friends, collaborators, and tourmates of Jeff Rosenstock (members appeared on Bomb the Music Industry!’s final album, Vacation), so it’s a reunion in more ways than one.
In his explanation of the residency, Jeff wrote earlier this week: “Here’s how it’s gonna work – tickets for 8/21 are on sale tomorrow at 12 PM. If that show sells out, we’ll put up tickets for the next night, and so on and so forth until no one wants to see any more of us. We’ll be playing around two hours every night, different set list every night, and hopefully by the end we’ll have played everything anyone might want to hear.” Stay tuned for night 3, and see Jeff’s updated dates below.
