Rihanna Performs First Concert in Eight Years… at Billionaire’s Wedding in India

Rihanna took the stage for her full-length concert in eight years at, of all places, a wedding ceremony in Jamnagar, India.

The pop singer was reportedly paid at least $6 million to play a private gig celebrating the nuptials of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Indian billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani, and his bride-to-be, Radhika Merchant.

According to Setlist.fm, Rihanna’s setlist consisted of 19 songs and included performances of “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Wild Thoughts,” “Rude Boy,” Work,” “We Found Love,” “Umbrella,” Stay,” and “Diamonds.” Watch fan-captured footage below.

While Rihanna headlined the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show and also performed at last year’s Academy Awards, her appearance at Anant and Radhika’s wedding marked her first full-length concert since November 2016.

Ambani previously spent over $100 million for Anant’s sister Isha’s wedding in 2018, which included a private performance from Beyoncé.
