The 2026 Met Gala, themed “Fashion Is Art,” saw a parade of high-fashion moments on Monday night (May 4), but few commanded as much attention as the arrival of A$AP Rocky and Rihanna. The couple, who share three children, made a grand entrance that lived up to their reputation as one of the industry’s most stylish pairings.

Rihanna stunned in a custom sculpted bronze Maison Margiela gown by Glenn Martens. The piece featured a sophisticated draped column silhouette crafted from woven silk and recycled, wire-like threads, complemented by an intricate Art Deco-inspired headpiece. A$AP Rocky matched her elegance in a custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy wool pink robe, layered over a crisp white shirt and black trousers.

When asked by Variety to describe his partner’s look, Rocky didn’t hesitate to offer a poetic nod to her iconic discography. Looking at her with clear admiration, he remarked, “She’s shining like a diamond… she’s shining,” a clever reference to her 2012 chart-topping hit “Diamonds” from the Unapologetic album.

The evening was a significant one for the couple, coming just a year after Rocky served as a co-chair for the 2025 Met Gala, where Rihanna famously revealed her pregnancy with their third child, daughter Rocki Irish Mayers. The 2026 event was co-chaired by a powerhouse lineup including Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
