Post Malone Delays Start of ‘Big Ass Stadium Tour’ With Jelly Roll to Finish New Album

Post Malone has officially pushed back the opening stretch of his expansive Big Ass Stadium Tour, which features special guest Jelly Roll. The decision to reschedule the first several dates comes as the artist prioritizes the completion of his highly anticipated upcoming studio album.

In a candid message shared with his fanbase, Malone explained that the decision was driven by a necessary reassessment of his timeline. Balancing the rigorous demands of a stadium-level live production with the creative focus required for recording proved to be a challenge that necessitated a shift in plans.

“Looking at the upcoming schedule… I came to the realization that what we’re trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really lining up,” he wrote. He emphasized that his commitment to delivering high-quality new music to his listeners is paramount, noting, “The truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.”

The postponement impacts the first six dates of the Live Nation-produced tour, which was originally slated to kick off on May 13 in El Paso, Texas. The revised schedule now sees the tour launching on June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Affected stops include performances in Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa, and Oxford, Mississippi.

While the artist has been actively teasing a new project—widely reported to be titled The Eternal Buzz—no official release date has been confirmed. Despite earlier speculation that the record was nearing completion, Malone’s recent update confirms that the creative process is still ongoing.

“That being said, I’m so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows. I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all,” he added. “That THAT being said, we been making some badass s— for this double album… and I can’t wait to perform for y’all again.”

This delay follows a period of significant commercial momentum for the artist. His 2023 album Austin secured a top 5 debut on the Billboard 200, while his recent pivot toward country and roots-influenced sounds has successfully broadened his reach. His latest project, F-1 Trillion, produced the chart-topping hit “I Had Some Help” and the Country Airplay No. 1 “Pour Me a Drink,” further cementing his status as a versatile crossover force alongside collaborators like Jelly Roll.
