Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Debut New Duet ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore’ Live

A Surprise Collaboration in Tuscaloosa

The energy at Morgan Wallen’s Still the Problem tour stop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, reached a fever pitch on Saturday night (April 18) when the country superstar welcomed Ella Langley to the stage. The pair delivered a significant announcement for their fanbase: they have officially recorded a new duet titled “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” set for release on Friday, April 24.

“Ella wrote this song and sent it to me about a month ago, and I loved it,” Wallen shared with the crowd before the performance. Langley confirmed the release date, and the two proceeded to debut the mid-tempo heartbreaker, trading verses with a palpable chemistry before uniting for the song’s powerful chorus.

Teasing the Track

While the live performance served as the official introduction to the song, it appears Langley may have been dropping hints about the collaboration for weeks. Eagle-eyed fans pointed to the music video for her track “Choosin’ Texas,” which features a getaway scene with Miranda Lambert. At the end of the video, the license plate on their escape vehicle reads “ICLYA,” a clear nod to the title of her new duet with Wallen.

This performance follows a recent collaboration between the two artists at Nashville’s The Pinnacle on April 7, where Langley joined Wallen to perform “Sand in My Boots.”

What’s Next for the Artists?

The new single does not appear on Langley’s latest album, Dandelion, which was released on April 10. This has sparked speculation among fans regarding whether the track will serve as a standalone release, a feature on a deluxe edition of Dandelion, or perhaps a preview of a forthcoming project from Wallen.

Both artists are currently among the most prominent figures in the alternative country landscape. Langley recently celebrated a major milestone, taking home the ACM Awards trophy for single of the year for her hit “You Look Like You Love Me” with Riley Green. Meanwhile, Wallen continues to dominate the charts, having recently secured a No. 1 hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts with his duet “What I Want,” featuring Tate McRae.

Langley is slated to join Wallen for several upcoming dates on his stadium tour, including stops in Indianapolis, Gainesville, Denver, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Clemson, Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
