Here’s a roundup of recent tour news. Check the Tour Dates category for more.

TOM JONES

Eighty-four and still going strong, pop legend Tom Jones will be on tour starting in September across the US and Canada. There are two NYC-area shows: Brooklyn Paramount on 9/17 and Beacon Theatre on 9/18.

X

Los Angeles punk legends X have announced Smoke & Fiction, which they’re calling their final album, as well as a farewell tour.

SHOW ME THE BODY

Show Me The Body wrapped up a run of shows with Knocked Loose earlier this month, and they’ve announced they’ll return to the road this fall for a headlining tour.

BRIGHT EYES

Bright Eyes release their 10th LP in September and will be on tour starting later that month.

SWIRLIES

Shoegaze vets Swirlies will be on a short tour this fall starting on Halloween in Denton, TX, and from there they’ll head to Austin, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

MARC RIBOT – SONGS OF RESISTANCE & MORE

It’s an election year as we all know, and it’s a good time for guitarist Marc Ribot to bring back his Songs of Resistance project, which for these dates will feature Shahzad Ismaily. Currently there are four shows, happening in Tulsa, Nashville, and Knoxville in September, and Los Angeles in October. More are likely to be announced.

Marc will also be out with The Jazz-Bins across Europe in July, and his Quartet (with Mary Halvorson, Hiliard Greene, and Chad Taylor) on the West Coast in September. Head here for all dates.

SEXYY RED

St. Louis rapper Sexyy Red announced a mostly-arena tour supporting her great new album In Sexyy We Trust.

ANDRÉ 3000 ‘NEW BLUE SUN LIVE’

André 3000 has announced fall New Blue Sun US tour dates.

BEAT – BELEW/VAI/LEVIN/CAREY PLAY ’80S KING CRIMSON

BEAT, the quartet of ’80s King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin plus guitarist Steve Vai and TOOL drummer Danny Carey, will be on tour starting in September, performing King Crimson songs from 1981’s Discipline, 1982’s Beat and 1984’s Three Of A Perfect Pair (King Crimson’s Robert Fripp gave his blessing). They’ve just added a lot more dates.

POST MALONE

Post Malone will be playing “country songs” on the “F-1 Trillion Tour” this fall.

RISE AGAINST OPENERS

Rise Against have announced openers for their fall tour, and they’re all pretty awesome: L.S. Dunes, Spiritual Cramp, Cloud Nothings, and Microwave will join on select dates. The NYC show at Brooklyn Paramount on October 22 is with L.S. Dunes and Spiritual Cramp.

EXODUS

Thrash legends Exodus announced a fall North American tour in November and December, their first headlining outing in a number of years.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER / DYING FETUS

The Black Dahlia Murder recently announced their first album since founding guitarist Brian Eschbach took over on lead vocals for the late Trevor Strnad, Servitude, and now they’ve announced a co-headlining tour with fellow US death metal vets Dying Fetus.

JESSE MALIN

Just over a year after he revealed that he’d suffered a rare spinal-cord stroke that left him paralyzed from the waist down, Jesse Malin has announced his return to the stage! It’s his biggest hometown show to date and he’s bringing a lot of amazing friends.

PETER FRAMPTON

Peter Frampton, who’s getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, wants to show you the way to his fall Positively Thankful Tour. It’s currently a short East Coast run in September, including NYC’s Beacon Theatre on 9/12.

RATBOYS

Ratboys are supporting The Decemberists on tour through early August, and they’ve announced a new run of fall shows that begin in November.

LIGHTHEADED / JEANINES

Two of Slumberland Records’ best, jangliest East Coast bands — Jeanines and Lightheaded — will be on tour together starting July 31 in Burlington, VT and from there hit Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Indianapolis, Chicago, Louisville, Athens (OH), Pittsburgh, and Philly before wrapping things up at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on August 11.

XIU XIU

Xiu Xiu’s new album 13″ Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto with Bison Horn Grips (yes, that’s the title) is out September 27 via Polyvinyl, and they’ll be on tour this fall.

RAVYN LENAE

Ravyn Lenae will be on tour this fall beginning October 5 in DC and then heads to NYC at Webster Hall on October 8. From there, it’s off to Toronto, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

BIG BEAUTIFUL BLOCK PARTY

Las Vegas’ Life is Beautiful announced that they would “hit pause” on throwing a festival for 2024 but are throwing a smaller scale two-day Block Party in September.

DESTROY BOYS

Sacramento punks Destroy Boys release their fourth album, Funeral Soundtrack #4, in August, and they’ve announced a fall tour.

ANDERSON .PAAK

Anderson .Paak has announced a fall tour where he’s playing his 2016 sophomore album Malibu in full. 

CHARLY BLISS

Charly Bliss will be on tour soon in support of their new album FOREVER, and they’ve now got two shows at Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 8 & 9.
