DIIV
DIIV just released their new album Frog in Boiling Water and will begin their North American tour next week, stopping at Brooklyn Paramount on August 7. They’ve just announced more dates, including trips to South America, the UK and Europe.
JANE’S ADDICTION / LOVE & ROCKETS
Jane’s Addiction, who are back playing with their original lineup for the first time in 14 years, have announced a late summer / early fall North American tour. Making it all the more exciting, Love & Rockets will be reuniting once again to open all dates.
TURNSTILE
Turnstile just announced Asian dates to their summer tour, hitting Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea in July. Before that they’ll play California punk fest No Values just ahead of a trip to Europe.
JESSICA PRATT
Having released her fantastic new album Here in the Pitch at the beginning of the month, Jessica Pratt is set to begin her tour at Primavera Sound this weekend, and her North American shows begin in mid-June. She’s now added some new fall headlining dates with Otto Benson.
PHOSPHORESCENT
Phosphorescent have announced a new string of fall tour dates supporting their very good new album Revelator.
JUSTICE
Justice‘s new album Hyperdrama is out now (featuring songs with Tame Impala, Miguel, Thundercat, and more), and they’ve been making their way around the festival circuit and also gearing up for a headlining tour that begins with two sold-out Brooklyn shows. Now, they’ve added a new round of North American dates.
MOVEMENTS / TURNOVER / QUEEN OF JEANS
Southern California post-hardcore band Movements have announced a September tour that has them out with Turnover and Queen of Jeans. Stops include Baltimore, Montreal, Albany, New Haven, Ottawa, Fort Wayne, Minneapolis, Edmonton, Vancouver and more.
W.A.S.P.
L.A. hair metal vets W.A.S.P., still led by singer/guitarist Blackie Lawless, will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of their 1984 self-titled debut album by playing it in full on a fall tour.
MISFITS
Misfits announced a new Austin show with Suicidal Tendencies, Reverend Horton Heat and Agnostic Front.
THE GOALIE’S ANXIETY AT THE PENALTY KICK
Philly band The Goalie’s Anxiety At The Penalty Kick recently released their new album The Iliad and the Odyssey and the Goalie’s Anxiety at the Penalty Kick, and have now announced a tour in support. Stops include NYC’s Knitting Factory at Baker Falls on July 7.
BIG STAR ‘RADIO CITY’ 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Big Star‘s classic second album Radio City turns 50 this year, and to celebrate, a band that includes Big Star drummer Jody Stephens, Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Chris Stamey (the dB’s), Jon Auer (Big Star/The Posies), and Pat Sansone (Wilco) will be playing it in full, along with other classics by the band, on tour this summer and fall.
CARIBOU
Caribou will be on the road this fall, hitting major US and Canadian cities in November.
STRFKR
STRFKR have added more dates to their 2024 tour schedule, including a couple NYC-area shows: NJ’s White Eagle Hall on 9/19 with Holy Wave and Happy Sad Face and Queens’ Rockaway Hotel on 9/22.
GINGER ROOT
Ginger Root has just announced a tour for his new album SHINBANGUMI. Dates start a week after the album’s release, and he’ll hit cities in the US, Canada, the UK and EU. The NYC show is October 17 at Brooklyn Steel.
BOLIS PUPUL
Charlotte Adigery collaborator Bolis Pupul has announced a few North American dates in support of his solo debut, Letter to Yu. They kick off in Brooklyn with a DJ set at Good Room on August 8 with Justin Strauss, and then he heads to the West Coast for live performances in L.A. and San Francisco.
HALF WAIF
Half Waif‘s new EP Ephemeral Being comes out this Friday (5/31) on ANTI-, and she’s playing a couple of shows supporting it.
SARAH SQUIRM
Now that Saturday Night Live‘s 49th season is a wrap, cast member Sarah Sherman (aka Sarah Squirm) has some standup shows lined up for the summer.
POND / FAZERDAZE
Pond have announced a North American tour supporting their upcoming album Stung! with New Zealand artist Fazerdaze.
LOLLAPALOOZA AFTERSHOWS
Lollapalooza returns for its 2024 edition on August 1-4 in Grant Park in Chicago, and after announcing set times last week, they’ve now revealed the lineup of post-festival aftershows at intimate venues throughout the city.

Reggae/dancehall icon Buju Banton has announced his first US show in 15 years.

Electro-pop duo Magdalena Bay have signed to Mom + Pop, released their first single for the label, and announced a tour.
