Suzanne Kraft collaborates on albums with Adda Kaleh and Suso Sáiz

Suzanne Kraft has a hand in two albums out this summer: AKSK’s Things We Do and a collaboration with Suso Sáiz titled Between No Things.

AKSK is the synth-pop collaboration between Adda Kaleh and Suzanne Kraft (real name Diego Herrera), first heard on Gerd Janson’s Music For Autobahns 2 compilation and then on last year’s Chill Pill collection for Public Possession.

Janson’s Running Back will put out the LP. “During a car ride through Los Angeles soundtracked by New Age music and Australian melancholics The Reels, ‘Breaking’ by AKSK fit in perfectly,” Janson writes. Released seven years after their collaboration began, Things We Do includes two versions from The Coober Pedy University Band aka CPUB (Tornado Wallace and William Paxton). It’s out digitally and on 180-gram vinyl later this month.

In August, Suso Sáiz & Suzanne Kraft’s Between No Things will see release on Music From Memory. Spanish New Age pioneer Sáiz (Jesús Sáiz Alcántara) met Herrera when they were both opening for Gaussian Curve in Amsterdam in 2017. The two musicians recorded 30 hours of raw material, which was then edited, overdubbed and added to over the following two years. The fully improvised closer, “Between No Things,” “is an honest musical reflection of a new friendship between two kindred musical spirits, in its purest form,” says the label.
