Love Rocks NYC 2024: Dave Grohl covered “Live and Let Die” ++ The Black Keys, Tom Morello, more (pics, video)

God’s Love We Deliver, a charity that prepares and delivers meals to people in NYC with serious illnesses, including HIV/AIDS and cancer, held the 2024 edition of their Love Rocks NYC benefit at Beacon Theatre on Thursday night (3/7) with an all-star cast of performers. Martin Short, Tracy Morgan, Jim Gaffigan, and Conan O’Brien hosted (Conan also started the show with a rendition of “Suspicious Minds”), and performers included Dave Grohl (who played “Everlong” and covered Wings’ 1973 James Bond theme “Live and Let Die”), The Black Keys (who played “Howlin For You” and “Lonely Boy,” and had Marcus King join them for “Heard it Through the Grapevine”), Tom Morello (who did his rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s “The Ghost of Tom Joad” and was joined by Larkin Poe, Allison Russell, and Luke Spiller for “This Land Is Your Land”), Lucius, Bill Murray, Trombone Shorty, Joss Stone, Eagles’ Don Felder, Hozier, Nile Rodgers, Bettye LaVette, Emily King, Larkin Poe, Quinn Sullivan, and more.
