Jason Isbell played 2 solo shows at Beacon Theatre (pics, setlists)

Jason Isbell is on his solo tour supporting Foxes in the Snow, his first entirely solo acoustic album, and he stopped in NYC on Friday and Saturday for shows at Beacon Theatre. He mixed songs from the new album with 400 Unit and Drive-By Truckers favorites at each show, and also included a cover in the encore each night — Friday got a rendition of Bon Iver’s “Best/Rest” (which Isbell first covered during Covid lockdown in 2020), and Saturday got John Prine’s “Storm Windows.” See both nights’ setlists, and pictures from Friday night’s show by Dimitry Mak, below.

Foxes in the Snow is due out on March 7 via Southeastern, and Isbell also has full band shows lined up after his solo run. See all dates below.
