Henrietta Smith-Rolla, AKA Afrodeutsche, to release score for BAFTA-nominated film, Kamali

Henrietta Smith-Rolla, AKA Afrodeutsche, is releasing her score for the BAFTA-nominated short film Kamali.

Out October 8th via Spitfire Audio’s SA Recordings, the six-track EP accompanies Sasha Rainbow’s 2019 documentary about a seven-year old Indian skateboarder called Kamali Moorthy. Smith-Rolla used only piano for the soundtrack.

As well as the EP, Smith-Rolla is releasing a sound library of manipulated synth sounds for fellow producers and composers. The press release calls it “a set of tools for compositional storytelling, based around colour.”
