Atlanta club The Sound Table closes at current location after ten years

The Sound Table will shut its doors at 483 Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta after ten years.

The Sound Table was an intimate club offering food and drinks with an emphasis on dancing, acting as a home base for Atlanta house DJs like Kai Alce, Ash Lauryn and Stefan Ringer.

In a note posted to Facebook, the current owners announced they’ve sold the venue to buyers will will carry forward the legacy of the venue, under a new name. Sound Table, meanwhile, says they’ll continue to operate and “explore and expand upon the things we love,” without being linked to a physical location.

The venue hosted the likes of Moodymann, GE-OLOGY, Morgan Geist, Theo Parrish, Bobbito Garcia, Mike Huckaby, Peven Everett, Glenn Underground, Todd Terje and many more over its ten years in business.

The National Independent Venue Association is currently supporting legislative relief and other direct assistance for small clubs and nightlife employees adversely affected by pandemic-related shutdowns.
