NORTHERN BOYS – “ROBOT MAN”

Norman Pain and Patrick Karneigh Jr., along with Kevin, are back with the first new Northern Boys song of 2024. A lot of people see them purely as a novelty act — and there are plenty of jokes on “Robot Man” — but the chorus has real poetry as they seek connection in a tech-heavy world: “You don’t love me as the man I am / But would you love me as a robot man / You could never love me for me / I had to let you go and then it set me free.” Plus: lots of cybersex double-entendres.
