Odessa A’zion Joins De-Aged Rolling Stones in ‘In the Stars’ Video

Deepfake versions of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood — all appearing as they did roughly half a century ago — perform their latest single, “In the Stars,” in a new music video directed by Francois Rousselet. The visual, which leans into surrealism with multiple drummers and guitarists, serves as a high-profile preview of the band’s upcoming album, Foreign Tongues, which is slated for release on July 10.

In this latest clip, the band performs for a house party, inspiring “moves like Jagger” from actress Odessa A’zion. A’zion, who earned a BAFTA nomination for her role in Marty Supreme, continues the Rolling Stones‘ long-standing tradition of featuring prominent “It Girls” and actors in their music videos. Previous stars to appear in the band’s visual projects include Sydney Sweeney, Paul Mescal, Nicholas Hoult, Kristen Stewart, and Angelina Jolie.

For A’zion, the opportunity was a career milestone. “Are you kidding me? It’s my dream,” she stated. “The first record that I ever got that I listened to from start to finish was Tattoo You. I’m obsessed with the Rolling Stones. This is in my bucket list for sure.”

Director Francois Rousselet, who previously helmed clips for Sydney Sweeney and Kristen Stewart, utilized Deep Voodoo deepfake technology to achieve the band’s youthful appearance. The recording sessions for Foreign Tongues took place at London’s Metropolis Studios. The album features an array of guest artists, including Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of the Cure, and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, alongside a special appearance by the band’s late drummer, Charlie Watts.

“We did that in L.A. with Charlie,” Mick Jagger noted at a recent press event. “It’s a real fast punk rocker. It’s a super-fast song.”

In addition to “In the Stars,” the band has released the lead track, “Rough and Twisted.” Ronnie Wood also confirmed that the track list includes a cover of the Amy Winehouse classic, “You Know I’m No Good.”
