Jon Bon Jovi’s Son Jake Bongiovi Stars in New Movie About Hair Metal Band
Jake Bongiovi, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, makes his acting debut in the comedy film Rockbottom, which focuses on an ’80s hair metal band.
Rockbottom, which is available to purchase ($9.99) or rent ($4.99) now via Prime Video, centers around a fictional band called CougarSnake, a forgotten ’80s glam-metal act who get a shout out from present-day Gen Z music star Bryce Cooper (played by 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon Butler).
The mention by Cooper sets off a frenzy, leading CougarSnake bassist Jesse (Tom Everett Scott) to revive the band. When the veteran act’s lead singer is hospitalized, CougarSnake seek out a new singer. Enter Jake Bongiovi’s character Justin, a pizza delivery driver with a powerhouse voice.

Of course, Jake’s dad made his name in an ’80s hair band, so we’re guessing he may have gotten some tips along the way. On top of that, Jake is engaged to Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, so he had a great actor to turn to for any advice.
