Galantis, David Guetta & Little Mix – Heartbreak Anthem (Antoine Delvig Remix)

79%%Overall Score

• Delvig’s futuristic sound
• Future Rave fusioned with Big Room-Trance?
• Hard-hitting melody

This caught me unexpectedly, Antoine Delvig’s establishment in the scene slowly got his prize with a remix for the one and only David Guetta in his collab with reputed Galantis and the group Little Mix. With a more futuristic sound, the Spanish producer has found his comfort zone in Future Rave giving interesting productions such as his remix for Showtek.

Antoine heavily respected the source material giving a more futuristic tone to the vocals but keeping the essence from the original song. Not gonna lie, the schema is a typical resource for this type of productions but the true energy is lying in the drop.

It is an abrupt change but the remixer successfully changes between moods to have an euphoric but also delicate transition between the build-up and the drop. The kicks are strong, the melody has power and there are a lot of bass house elements giving a techno feeling.

Unfortunately, I was wishing for a more creative sound and a twist in the second drop instead of adding more house elements. Yes, both drops are amazing and the formula works but I left the song with a “hope there is more” sensation in my head.

This remix of “Heartbreak Anthem” is a successfully twist to the original, it is catchy and its drop is hard-hitting. Antoine Delvig is quickly turning on a “one-to-watch” for all the Future Rave fans out there and he decided to stay in this genre that I hope he can give us more productions like this.
