Diljit Dosanjh Makes History as First Punjabi Artist to Headline Wembley Stadium
Global music sensation Diljit Dosanjh is poised to reach a monumental career milestone, announcing that he will headline London’s legendary Wembley Stadium on Sept. 12. This performance marks his largest-ever European concert and cements his status as a trailblazer, as he becomes the first Indian and first Punjabi artist to headline the 90,000-capacity venue.
The announcement was shared by the artist himself during his high-energy performance at Toronto’s Rogers Centre on Sunday, May 31. During the set, Dosanjh reflected on the gravity of the achievement, noting that he now joins the ranks of music icons such as Michael Jackson, Queen, and Prince, all of whom have graced the historic stage. Wembley Stadium continues to be a premier destination for global superstars, with upcoming performances scheduled from artists including Harry Styles, My Chemical Romance, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, and Bon Jovi.
This historic booking follows a period of rapid growth for the artist in the U.K. market. In October 2024, Dosanjh successfully headlined London’s 20,000-capacity O2 Arena. His rise in the region mirrors the broader global expansion of Indian music, following Arijit Singh’s own landmark stadium show at the nearby Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2025.
Tickets for the highly anticipated Wembley show are scheduled to go on sale shortly. An artist presale will commence on June 10 at 10 a.m. (BST), followed by a general onsale on June 12 at 10 a.m. (BST) via Live Nation.
Currently, Dosanjh is in the midst of his expansive Aura world tour. The North American leg, which kicked off in Vancouver this past April, has seen the star sell out major arenas, including two consecutive nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The tour is slated to conclude with two final shows at San Francisco’s Chase Center on June 20 and 21.
The artist’s recent momentum is supported by a string of high-profile projects. In 2025, he released his 15th studio album, Aura, and collaborated with J Balvin on a fresh take of the track “Senorita.” His influence continues to transcend music, evidenced by his debut appearance at the Met Gala in New York and his second guest spot on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he promoted his recent EP, The Call of the Panjab.
