Charli XCX Unveils ‘Playboy Bunny’ as Exclusive B-Side to ‘SS26’

Charli XCX has shared yet another glimpse into the world of her upcoming album with a new B-side track, “Playboy Bunny.” The cheeky, pop-punk track is designed to complement her latest single, “SS26.”

“The B-sides are sort of coupled with some of the songs that are coming out ahead of the album,” the pop star explained in an Instagram video on her dedicated “b.sides” account. “The reason that they’re paired together is because, in ways, they’re totally opposite from each other, and that is the main point. It’s a mirror; there are specific sonic elements that are extremely opposite to ‘SS26,’ and I think that’s what made it a good pair.”

As Charli noted, the video was filmed the day after the “SS26” visual, and she admitted to being “honestly v hungover lol.”

Because it is a B-side, “Playboy Bunny” will not be hitting major streaming platforms. Instead, it remains exclusive to her Instagram account and a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl. “The B-sides are never going to go on streaming,” Charli confirmed. “While making the record, I made a few songs that felt like a part of the world of the album, but I knew they weren’t going to be on the final tracklist. They became the B-sides, which is why I created this supplemental account to house them.”

Earlier this month, Charli shared her divisive lead single “Rock Music” and, just a day later, unveiled its B-side, “I Keep on Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night,” on the same dedicated social media channel.
