Post Malone Delays Stadium Tour with Jelly Roll to Finish New Album

Post Malone has officially pushed back the start of his highly anticipated Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2, which features country star Jelly Roll. The singer announced the decision on social media this past Friday, explaining that the shift is necessary to allow him the time to complete his ambitious new project, a 40-song double LP titled The Eternal Buzz.

In a candid update shared via his Instagram Story, the artist addressed the cancellation of the tour’s first six dates. “Looking at the upcoming schedule after Stagecoach, I came to the realization that what we’re trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really lining up,” he wrote. “The truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.”

Tour Adjustments and Future Dates

The tour, which was originally slated to kick off on May 13 in El Paso, Texas, will now begin six weeks later than initially planned. The cancellation impacts several major stadium stops, including performances in Waco, Texas; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Birmingham, Alabama; Tampa, Florida; and Oxford, Mississippi. Malone expressed his sincere apologies to fans who had already made plans to attend these specific shows, noting that he was genuinely looking forward to performing for them.

Despite the delay, the tour is now scheduled to resume on June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Before the stadium run officially begins, Post Malone remains committed to his previously scheduled festival appearances, including Boots in the Park in Albuquerque on May 16, Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach on May 31, and the Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach on June 7.

A Massive Double Album

The decision to prioritize the studio over the stage highlights the scale of The Eternal Buzz. With 40 tracks in the works, the double album represents a significant creative undertaking for the singer. Following the North American leg, which will now consist of 13 dates and conclude on July 28 in Salt Lake City, the tour is set to head to Asia. For that international trek, Don Toliver is slated to step in as the supporting act, replacing Jelly Roll.

While reports have suggested that ticket sales for this second leg were tracking softer than the previous year’s tour, the focus remains on delivering a high-quality musical experience for fans. As Malone noted in his message, “We been making some badass shit for this double album… and I can’t wait to perform for y’all again.”
