Karen Salicath Jamali continues to follow one of the most unusual creative paths in contemporary classical music. Her new album, Wings of Gabriel, arrived on November 21, 2025 as an 11-track spiritual meditation shaped by dreams, angelic guidance, and early-morning inspiration.
Jamali, an award-winning composer, pianist, and visual artist, describes the album as a year-long conversation that unfolded in her sleep. Every melody came to her in dreams, and every recording was captured at dawn on her beloved Golden Age Steinway. According to her, that quiet hour before sunrise is when the “messages become clearest,” a moment when intuition turns into sound.
For Karen Salicath Jamali, dreams are not just inspiration; they are the source of her entire musical world. When asked what her dream experience feels like, in a recent interview with FunkNPlay, she explained that it is rarely visual. Instead, the music appears fully formed:
“My Dreams are in music, I hear the music, again and again, over and over. Sometimes, I am invited to a concert in the sky, where I hear the angel choir, so beautiful, and a whole orchestra, playing the music. This is like being in heaven, the most beautiful, amazing feelings of light and love.”
Rather than presenting the album as a collection of classical pieces, Karen Salicath Jamali frames Wings of Gabriel as an exploration of divine energy. She divides the project into three “wings,” each representing a different aspect of Gabriel’s presence.
Her creative journey is equally remarkable. Despite having no formal piano training, Karen Salicath Jamali has performed worldwide and composed more than 2,500 works. When asked whether she feels guided by something beyond herself, she didn’t hesitate:
“Yes, for sure, I get guided, in my dreams, and when I play, it is like my fingers just know what and how to play. It is my angels who guide me.”
Wings of Gabriel, is more than a classical project, it is a bridge between the physical and the divine, delivered through dreams, intuition, and the quiet language of angels.
