BRIGHT EYES
Bright Eyes’ North American tour starts tomorrow (1/16) in Phoenix and they’ll be out though April 26, with Hurray for the Riff Raff and Cursive opening along the way. It’s their first outing since they cancelled the remainder of their 2024 shows, and the NYC show is at Brooklyn Paramount on April 17, with Cursive.
LUCY DACUS
Lucy Dacus has announced a new album and a North American tour.
PERFUME GENIUS
Perfume Genius will support his just-announced new album Glory on tour this spring and summer.
BEAR VS SHARK
The great Michigan post-hardcore band Bear vs Shark reunited for a tour in 2016 and only sporadically played shows since then, but they recently announced their first-ever UK tour for this March, and now they announced their most extensive US tour since 2016.
WILLIE NELSON
Willie Nelson has added shows in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia in April to his 2025 schedule, in addition to dates in Texas and Florida. Check out all dates here.
MIDGE URE
Midge Ure (Ultravox, Visage) will be playing Cruel World in May, and has aded a few other US shows while here, including NYC’s Sony Hall on 5/22. He’ll also play San Francisco, Philly and more.
MOGWAI OPENERS (BRAINIAC, PAPA M, MORE)
Mogwai will be on tour starting February 4, with a North American run beginning April 7 in Washington, DC. They’ve announced openers which will include, depending on the date, Brainiac, Ye Gods (aka Antoni Maiovvi), and Papa M (aka David Pajo). The NYC stop is at Brooklyn Steel on April 10 with Brainiac and Ye Gods.
GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR
Godspeed You! Black Emperor had to cancel their fall tour with Alan Sparhawk just a couple dates in due to illness. They’ve now announced new East Coast dates.
PHANTOGRAM
Phantogram’s North American tour kicks off tonight in Las Vegas and hits NYC’s Brooklyn Paramount on February 6 with meija opening.
AZIZ ANSARI
Comedian Aziz Ansari has added more shows to his 2025 tour, including NYC’s Radio City Music Hall.
EVERYONE ASKED ABOUT YOU
Emo vets Everyone Asked About You, who reunited in 2022 after 22 years apart, have announced East Coast / Midwest dates this spring, including NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on April 16.
SAVE OUR WICKED LADY FUNDRAISER SHOWS
Brooklyn independent venue Our Wicked Lady has been struggling to stay open and they’ve announced special fundraiser shows: February 1 with The Thing, Grumpers, Skorts, Joudy, Wifeknife, Eclectic Charango, Beats, Scary’s on the Wall, Pons and Frida Kill; and February 2 with Evolfo, Certain Death, Pho, Bald by Choice, Gal Fieri, Thesaurus Rex, Dolls and “special guests.”
UNION POOL FREE TUESDAYS
Union Pool has free shows every Tuesday during the winter and the February lineup includes Wolf Eyes, Guerilla Toss, and more.
THE MONGOLOIDS
Edison, NJ 2000s-era hardcore greats The Mongoloids recently returned for the first time in over a decade, first with a surprise hometown-area show at The Blackbox at the Williams Center in Rutherford, NJ and then at FYA Fest and a FYA aftershow. They have more festival appearances coming up and they just announced another NJ show.
NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival returns from April 24 – May 4, with over 5,000 musicians taking over 14 different stage at the Fair Grounds Race Course over the course of 8 days. Check out the massive lineup.
