deary announce ‘Aurelia’ EP, share “The Drift”

UK shoegaze duo deary have announced their second EP, titled Aurelia, which will be out November 1 via Sonic Cathedral. The group’s Ben Easton and Rebecca ‘Dottie’ Cockram produced it themselves and it was mastered by Slowdive drummer Simon Scott who also plays on “Dream of Me.”

The EP includes both of deary’s great singles from earlier this year — “The Moth” and “Selene” — and they’ve just shared windswept new song “The Drift,” which Dottie says “reminds me of driving down the fondly named ‘The Drift’ in Somerset, blaring Kate Bush and splashing through the flooded lanes.” You can watch the video below.

deary will be on tour in the UK this fall — including a London show opening for Slowdive — and those dates are below.
