Childish Gambino previewed new album at NYC event w/ Steve Lacy & Fousheé (pics, video)

After announcing what he says will be his final album as Childish Gambino, Bando Stone & The New World, Donald Glover previewed the album at a very hot, humid “listening event” on Saturday (7/6) at NYC’s Little Island. Tickets were sold both for inside the amphitheater with Glover and his guests, or for a “Listening Party only” option that kept attendees outside the amphitheater.

Glover played 15 songs from the album, out of order, including “In the Night” (featuring Jorja Smith and Amaarae), “Talk My Shit” (featuring Flo Milli), “Runnin’ Around”(featuring Fousheé), and “Can You Feel Me? (featuring Glover’s son). Fousheé and Steve Lacy also feature on “Steps Beach,” and the three of them performed it together sitting at one of the bottom benches of the auditorium.

Childish Gambino begins his world tour in August, including NYC shows at Barclays Center on August 26 and 27 with WILLOW.
