MJ Guider returns to Kranky for new album, Sour Cherry Bell
Sour Cherry Bell is a darker and more stripped-back album than the American dream-pop artist’s first LP, 2016’s Precious Systems, according to the label. Kranky compares the music on the album to shoegaze and gothic pop.
“I was curious to see how far I could go with [my tools], even if that meant reaching the ends of their capacity to do what I wanted,” she says. “But I never exhausted them and they never exhausted me.”
