serpentwithfeet announces ‘GRIP SEQUEL,’ shares “Writhing in the Wind”
serpentwithfeet has announced a sequel to his third album, last year’s GRIP. GRIP SEQUEL (the deluxe) is due out on February 28 via Secretly Canadian, and it includes alternate versions of three GRIP songs along with six new tracks. “I don’t create in a silo; baby this is an exchange & you remind me that expressing my fullness is paramount,” he says. “I hope this deluxe offers you more incentive to continue being a loverrrrrrr… GRIP SEQUEL is for the yearners.”
The first single is ethereal art pop track “Writhing in the Wind,” which serpentwithfeet says is “the sound of a lover begging. He knows he messed up but desperately wants a second chance.” Hear it below.
