Axis Records releases new albums from Jeff Mills, Terrence Dixon and Tadeo

Jeff Mills‘ label Axis Records has put out three new LPs.

Mills himself has a new album as part of this latest batch. The Universe Chapter 1 is a “forever expanding album concept that’s designed to accumulate in music and sound as our own universe expands, produced like an explorative journey,” according to a Facebook post. This first volume is inspired by different types of galaxies.

Detroit techno head Terrence Dixon‘s album is called Galactic Halo, and it features eight new tracks which are also space-themed. It’s his first solo album since 2017’s 12,000 Miles Of Twilight.

Finally, there’s a new LP from Spanish producer Tadeo. Faces And Mirrors is inspired by the sense of self and surroundings one feels when looking at themselves in the mirror. (You can see a more detailed track-by-track explanation on the Axis website.)

This past May, Mills announced that Axis would be expanding its purview to include jazz, classical music and film soundtracks. Other recent releases include a collaborative album with Eddie Fowlkes and Jessica Care Moore as The Beneficiaries, and two more Every Dog Has Its Day albums.

You can hear clips of all three new records on the Axis webshop.
