It has been confirmed today (September 9) that an 11-track collection, ‘Song Machine: Season One – Strange Timez’, will arrive in various formats on October 23.

The news comes as Gorillaz offer up their latest, Robert Smith-assisted song ‘Strange Timez’ – watch its colourful, Jamie Hewlett-directed visuals below.

“We did this tune with Robert completely by email,” Damon Albarn explained on BBC Radio 6 Music today. Smith added: “I loved it! I thought it was excellent. I felt ripples in the force and I thought, ‘I better get this done’.”
