Yoo Doo Right announce new album, share “Spirit’s Heavy, But Not Overthrown”

Montreal psych/komische three-piece Yoo Doo Right have announced new album From the Heights of Our Pastureland which will be out November 8 via Mothland. They made the album with producer Seth Manchester (The Hotelier, The Body, Battles) and with the announcement, the trio shared this statement: “The patience of a brewing storm. The destruction. Its aftermath. The problems that come with the rebuild. Compassion for others and an attempt to lift all up.”

They also shared the sprawling, 13-minute opening track “Spirit’s Heavy, But Not Overthrown.” Mixing organ and waves of distortion, this one is a slow build that eventually grows into a rhythmic juggernaut ripper. Fans of Hawkwind will probably dig this one and you can watch Part 1 of the video, and listen to the whole thing, below.
