Watch MUNA cover Chappell Roan & Vanessa Carlton, and bring out Lucy Dacus at All Things Go NYC

MUNA delivered an electrifying set at the first-ever NYC edition of All Things Go at Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday (9/28), which reconfirmed their status as queer alt-pop heartthrobs. Though they admitted they hadn’t released new music in a bit, they still sounded totally energized as they played their 2023 single “One That Got Away,” material from their self-titled 2022 album, and more. The “and more” in this case included two covers — the first of which, a slightly shortened, acoustic version of “Good Luck, Babe!,” they did as a tribute to Chappell Roan, who had cancelled her sets at the NYC and DC-area editions of All Things Go a day earlier.

Later, they covered Vanessa Carlton‘s 2002 hit “A Thousand Miles,” and as they frequently do, they ended their set with “Silk Chiffon.” They regularly bring out guests to join them on it — and often that guest has been Phoebe Bridgers, who sings on the studio version — but this time they brought out her boygenius bandmate Lucy Dacus. Watch video of both covers and “Silk Chiffon” below.

Phoebe and Lucy’s other boygenius bandmate, Julien Baker, plays All Things Go NYC tomorrow, and played the DC-area edition at Merriweather Post Pavilion today. Meanwhile, MUNA have joined the DC-area lineup to replace Chappell on Sunday.

Stay tuned for more coverage of Saturday at All Things Go NYC.
