Watch Fred Armisen host “Old Punks” panel with Mike Watt, Lee Ving, Exene & more on ‘John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in L.A.’
Among the many highlights of John Mulaney‘s six-episode, live and free-wheeling Netflix talk show Everybody’s in L.A. was a segment titled “Old Punks” where Fred Armisen rounded up a bunch of L.A. punk legends for a fun, funny panel discussion / “focus group.” Those old punks included: Minutemen/fIREHOSE members Mike Watt and George Hurley, Fear‘s Lee Ving, Exene & DJ Bonebrake of X, Kid “Congo” Powers (Gun Club, Cramps), Penelope Houston of The Avengers, Germs drummer Don Bolles, Saccharine Trust’s Joe Baiza, the Plungers’ Trudie Arguelles-Barrett, and Johnny Ramone’s widow Linda Ramone.
Topics on conversation included: gobbing, “Who here is the most punk?,” “How many wears before you wash your jeans?,” “Could the Ramones swim?” and “What’s the most punk food?”
For those who don’t have a Netflix account, they’ve just put the whole segment on YouTube and you can watch below.
