SORRY MOM (HEADLINE SHOWS, DATES WTIH DESTROY BOYS)

Brooklyn indie-punk duo Sorry Mom (aka Juno Moreno and Taryn Gangi) have added more shows to their summer tour schedule, including Northeast shows in July (Boston, DC, Philly and Brooklyn’s The Meadows on 7/13) and then midwest dates later in the month (Columbus, Chicago and Grand Rapids). After that they’ll join Destroy Boys for shows in Madison, Des Moines, Indianapolis and St. Louis. All dates are here.

Meanwhile, Destroy Boys’ fall tour hits NYC’s Webster Hall on November 16, with SASAMI and Crawlers.

SOUL COUGHING

Soul Coughing recently shocked fans by announcing they were reuniting for a tour this fall, and they’ve now moved some shows to bigger venues and added a second San Diego show.

JOHN MULANEY

After the rush of doing a week’s worth of weird, wonderful Everybody’s In L.A. live talk shows on Netflix back in May, John Mulaney has been taking it easy this summer, but he does have a few Northeast stand-up shows lined up for July and August.

ARMS LIKE ROSES / BE SAFE

Emo bands Arms Like Roses and Be Safe have lined up a trio of Northeast shows together in August, playing Red Bank, NJ’s Red Bank Rehearsal on 8/2, NYC’s Pianos on 8/3 (with No Momentum and Gluehead), and Boston’s Cocos Clubhouse on 8/4.

HEART

Heart have postponed all remaining live dates on their schedule — including their own Royal Flush tour and dates with Journey and Def Leppard — after Ann Wilson “underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous.”

BEVERLY GLENN-COPELAND

As mentioned, Beverly Glenn-Copeland is playing Brooklyn’s Pioneer Works on September 30 with “an assortment of different collaborations from the artist’s friends and family, including Elizabeth Glenn-Copeland and special guests to be announced.” He has a few other shows this summer and fall: Sudbury, ON’s Up Here Festival on August 15, Pop Montreal on September 26, and Saugerties, NY’s Opus 40 on October 5.

CASS MCCOMBS

Cass McCombs recently announced reissues of his first three records as well as a short tour in support.

A. SAVAGE (PARQUET COURTS)

A. Savage of Parquet Courts will be playing “Live & Lonely, Two Nights Only” two-night runs at intimate venues in NYC, Chicago, Austin, and Los Angeles this fall. Brooklyn is now “three nights only” as the October 1 & 2 shows at Union Pool have sold out and he’s added a third on October 4.

KING HANNAH

We’re bummed to hear that King Hannah have been forced to cancel their North American tour this month while vocalist Hannah Merrick recovers from viral meningitis.

SEXTILE

L.A. synthwave band Sextile will be heading to Brooklyn this summer to play  the recently opened roller-rink/venue Xanadu on August 8 with LustSickPuppy also on the bill. “We asked to play in the middle of the roller rink so shit is gonna get crazy up in there!,” Sextile say. The group’s only other upcoming date is Chicago’s Warm Love Cool Dreams festival on September 28.
