L’IMPÉRATRICE

French disco band L’Impératrice will release their new album Pulsar on June 7, and they’ll be on tour this fall. They’ve just added a Los Angeles date (9/27 at Shrine Expo Hall) and before that they’ve got two sold-out shows at NYC’s Terminal 5 on 9/7 & 9/8. Check out their latest single “Love on the Other Side.”

SLIPKNOT

Slipknot will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album on tour with Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture, and Vended and they’ve added a second L.A. show on September 14 at Intuit Dome, in addition to the previously announced date on September 13 at the same venue. The tour hits NYC on August 12 at Madison Square Garden.

JET

Australian garage rock band Jet, who gave us the very catchy “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and one of the most infamous Pitchfork reviews ever, are coming to the US this fall for five shows: NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on 10/14 & 10/15, Nashville’s Basement East on 10/17 and Los Angeles’ Troubadour on 10/20 & 10/21.

HERMANOS GUTIÉRREZ

Very chill instrumental guitar duo Hermanos Gutiérrez are gearing up to release their new album Sonido Cosmico on June 14 and will be on tour starting May 7 in Nashville. They’ll stop in NYC for two shows at Brooklyn Steel on May 18 & 19. They’ve also recently announced West Coast dates happening after their Newport Folk Fest appearance. Head here for all dates.

Illuminati Hotties (musician and producer Sarah Tudzin) has  announced a fall North American tour.

CRUEL WORLD 2024

Pasadena, CA’s Cruel World festival returns for its 2024 edition next Saturday, May 11 at Brookside at The Rose Bowl, and set times have been revealed. There are three stages (“Outsiders,” “Sad Girls,” and “Lost Boys”) and some set time conflicts for attendees to contend with.

MARY J BLIGE’S STRENGTH OF A WOMAN SUMMIT

Mary J Blige’s Strength of a Woman Summit is coming up next week (May 10-12) in NYC and they’ve added some speakers: Taraji P. Henson, Tasha Smith, Method Man, Marsai Martin, Larenz Tate, Angie Martinez, Pinky Cole, Crystal Hayslett, Misa Hylton, Bevy Smith, Claire Sulmers, and Michael Rainey Jr. Mary headlines Barclays Center on 5/11 with 50 Cent, Jill Scott, and more.

THE MUSIC OF CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH

This year’s “The Music Of…” benefit concert at Carnegie Hall happens on May 13 and celebrates the music of Crosby, Stills and Nash, with performances by Todd Rundgren, Grace Potter, Yola, Iron & Wine, Rickie Lee Jones, Joseph, Shawn Colvin, Real Estate, Aoife O’Donovan, AC Newman, Neal Francis, Sammy Rae, Guster, and more. Tickets are on sale, and there’s also a rehearsal show on May 12 at City Winery.
