PROTEST THE HERO (PERFORMING VOLITION) w/ ’68, GREYHAVEN, KAONASHI

Canadian progressive post-hardcore band Protest the Hero will perform their 2013 album Volition on tour with direct support on all dates from The Chariot/Norma Jean offshoot ’68, plus newer likeminded bands Greyhaven on leg one and Kaonashi on leg two. The run with Kaonashi hits Brooklyn’s Warsaw on October 20. Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday (6/7) at 10 AM local. Kaonashi also play Brooklyn’s Meadows tonight (6/5) with Boundaries, Orthodox, and No Cure.

THE JESUS LIZARD

Chicago noise rock icons The Jesus Lizard just announced their first album in 26 years and an accompanying tour.

ANOHNI & THE JOHNSONS

ANOHNI returned with the fantastic My Back Was a Bridge For You To Cross last year, her first album under the ANOHNI and the Johnsons moniker in 13 years, and now she’s announced a North American tour for it.

JOHNNY BLUE SKIES (STURGILL SIMPSON)

Sturgill Simpson has announced a new album and tour under a new name, Johnny Blue Skies.

NIA ARCHIVES

UK jungle revivalist Nia Archives has announced a world tour in support of her recently-released debut album Silence Is Loud.

KENDRICK LAMAR

Kendrick Lamar announced a Los Angeles show this month, “Ken & Friends – The Pop Out.”

THE JULIANA THEORY (PERFORMING UNDERSTAND THIS IS A DREAM)

The Juliana Theory will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Understand This is a Dream on tour this summer and stops include NYC’s Racket on August 10.

MORTIIS (PERFORMING FØDT TIL Å HERSKE)

Norwegian dungeon synth artist Mortiis will be playing his 1993 album Født Til Å Herske on tour in September. The first half of the tour, which includes NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on 9/8, is with Sombre Arcane, while the second part of the tour is with Malfet.

REVEREND KRISTIN MICHAEL HAYTER

Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter (fka Lingua Ignota) has announced summer tour dates, including stops in Richmond, Philly, Detroit, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Asheville, Atlanta and more.

LUCKI

Rapper and producer Lucki has announced his first-ever headline tour which is in support of upcoming studio album GEMIN!, and hits NYC at Brooklyn Paramount on August 27.

W.I.T.C.H.

ZamRock legends W.I.T.C.H. begin their US tour on June 14 in San Diego; dates include a stop at Accord, NY’s Follow the Arrow Festival and a show at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on June 30 with Rahill and Rogê.
