PIERCE THE VEIL

After touring with blink-182 last year, Pierce the Veil have announced their largest headlining tour to date, including their Madison Square Garden debut on May 20. Sleeping With Sirens will provide direct support, with Beach Weather and Daisy Grenade joining on select dates.

KENDRICK LAMAR / SZA

Fresh off collaborating on two of the best songs on GNX, Kendrick Lamar and SZA have announced a co-headlining stadium tour.

WAND

Wand will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of their album Ganglion Reef with a special LA show on December 19 at The Lodge Room. They’ll play songs from that album and their latest, Vertigo, and get some help from DJ John Dwyer of OSEES.

EMPEROR

Norwegian black metal legends Emperor have announced a US tour in spring of 2025. Wolves in The Throne Room, Agalloch, and Wayfarer each open select shows, and according to the flyer, this tour features Emperor’s debut LP, 1994’s In the Nightside Eclipse, which turned 30 in February.

POISON THE WELL / GLASSJAW / BETTER LOVERS

Well here’s an amazing tour for fans of late ’90s / early 2000s post-hardcore and metalcore. Poison The Well are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their classic late-1999 debut album The Opposite of December… A Season of Separation with support from Glassjaw, Every Time I Die/Dillinger Escape Plan supergroup Better Lovers, and newer band Teenage Wrist.

AMERICAN NIGHTMARE

American Nightmare will play a NYC one-off with a stacked lineup 25 years to the month from their first-ever show.

TREY ANASTASIO (PHISH)

Phish frontman Trey Anastasio will be on a solo acoustic tour in March and April of 2025.

LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE 2025

Electronic-leaning music festival Lightning in a Bottle returns to California’s Buena Vista Lake over Memorial Day Weekend (May 21-25). The lineup includes Khruangbin, Four Tet, Jamie xx, Underworld and more.

DOM DOLLA

Australian DJ, producer and songwriter Dom Dolla has announced a big NYC show happening at Madison Square Garden on March 7. It falls in the middle of festival appearances at Palm Tree in Aspen, Ultra in Miami and Veld in Toronto. All dates are here.

JUSTICE

Justice have been wowing audiences all year with their new live show and they will continue that into 2025, including a just-announced spring US run.

KILBY BLOCK PARTY

Salt Lake City festival Kilby Block Party returns for its 6th annual edition on May 15-18 at The Utah State Fairpark. They’re expanding from three to four days for 2025, with music now getting started on Thursday night and continuing through Sunday. The lineup is pretty great, including New Order, Devo, Weezer (playing the Blue Album), Justice, TV on the Radio, Beach House, Slowdive, Car Seat Headrest, Yo La Tengo, Julien Baker & TORRES, Built to Spill, St Vincent, Toro & Moi, and lots more.⁠

MACSEAL / CARLY COSGROVE

Macseal and Carly Cosgrove both released great new albums this year, and they’ll be on the road together in February and March with Guppy and Buffchick.

MESHUGGAH / CANNIBAL CORPSE / CARCASS

Meshuggah, Cannibal Corpse, and Carcass will come together to bring a triple-threat of legendary extreme metal across North America in 2025.

HELMET

Helmet are on tour in Europe now celebrating the 30th anniversary of their influential third album, 1994’s Betty, and they’ve now announced North American dates. They’ll be joined for the shows by Slomosa and War on Women,

CHEEKFACE

Cheekface have announced an extensive North American tour. Dates begin April 3 in San Diego and then head East before looping around back to the West Coast, wrapping up May 29 in Los Angeles.

DCBDAY 2025

The late David Berman’s birthday, January 4, has become a holiday of sorts to celebrate the life and music of the Silver Jews and Purple Mountains founder. There are special tribute shows in NYC and LA planned.

BIG EARS 2025

Knoxville’s Big Ears festival has announced its daily lineups and put single-day passes on sale.

DAVID GRUBBS (SQUIRREL BAIT, GASTR DEL SOL)

David Grubbs, veteran of such lauded indie rock groups as Gastr del Sol, Squirrel Bait, and Bastro, will release a new album, Whistle from Above, on February 28 via Drag City and he’ll be on tour before that.

ALISON KRAUSS & UNION STATION

Bluegrass legends Alison Krauss & Union Station have announced their first tour in a decade. This tour will feature the band’s longtime dobro player Jerry Douglas, and also has guitarist Russell Moore joining the group. Opening most dates will be Willie Nile.
