CAT POWER
Cat Power has announced a second leg of her current headline in celebration her new live album, Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert, with complete performances of the album. New dates begin September 6, 2024 in Lancaster, PA and then continue through early October with stops in Kingston (UPAC on 9/7), Ithica, Niagra Falls, Cleveland, Kalamazoo, Columbus, New Orleans, Austin, Tucson, Sacramento, and more.
SLIPKNOT
Yesterday, Slipknot announced their hometown Iowa edition of Knotfest, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, and now they’ve announced a full tour celebrating that anniversary. Direct support on all dates comes from Knocked Loose, who also play Knotfest, and there’s also additional support on the first leg from Orbit Culture and the second from Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan’s sons’ band Vended (who also play Knotfest).
PARTYNEXTDOOR
R&B artist PartyNextDoor have announced the Sorry I’m Outside Tour which starts June 19 in Phoenix and runs till August 18 in Detroit. There are two NYC shows at Brooklyn Paramount on August 8 & 9.
MISSY ELLIOTT
Missy Elliott has added more dates added to her summer tour with Ciara, Busta Rhymes & Timbaland, with new stops in L.A., Atlanta and Orlando in July and Cleveland, Toronto and Chicago in August. The tour includes NYC-area shows at Belmont Park, NY’s UBS Arena on August 3, Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on August 9, and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on August 12.
YOUNG MIKO
Fresh off releasing her anticipated debut album and playing Coachella, fast-rising Puerto Rican rapper/singer Young Miko has announced ‘THE XOXO TOUR.’
SHABAKA / ESPERANZA SPALDING BLUE NOTE RESIDENCIES
Collaborators Shabaka and Esperanza Spalding will separately play multiple nights at NYC’s Blue Note at residency runs in September and February.
SQUEEZE / BOY GEORGE
Squeeze and Boy George will be heading out on tour together for co-headline dates in August and September. Stops include Oakland, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, Houston, DC, Boston, NYC, Orlando and more.
LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING – LIVE IN CONCERT
Howard Shore‘s Oscar and Grammy-winning score for the epic third film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Return of the King, will be performed live to a screening of the film at a few places this year, including NYC’s Radio City Music Hall.
SCHELLRAISER FEST
Utah’s Schellraiser Festival happens May 30 – June 1 and there have been some recent lineup changes. Bully have been added while Man Man have dropped off. Also performing: Mercury Rev, Ladytron, The Raveonettes, We Are Scientists, No Joy, Lush’s Miki Berenyi, Molly Lewis, Wild Pink, The Paranoyds, and more.
GOGOL BORDELLO
Gogol Bordello have announced late summer tour dates that have them out with Puzzled Panther and Crazy & The Brains on select shows. Stops include Birmingham, Asheville, Virginia Beach, Albany, Long Island (The Paramount on 9/11), New Haven and more before their appearances at Asbury Park’s Sea.Hear.Now festival.
THE LEMON TWIGS
The Lemon Twigs release their new album A Dream is All We Know this week, and they have a very busy international tour schedule ahead of them. It just got busier, too, as they’ve announced a big fall North American tour.
MARISSA NADLER
Marissa Nadler has announced new tour dates starting at the end of May. “I’ll be performing solo, playing brand new songs, deep cuts, discog faves and more in a city or town near you this summer,” she says. After her June run, she’ll play a one-off NYC show celebrating the 10th anniversary of her first album for Sacred Bones, 2014’s July.
UPCHUCK
Atlanta punks Upchuck are on tour in Europe and the UK in May and June, and they’ve announced new July dates in the US. The East Coast shows include stops in Richmond, Brooklyn, Washington DC, Durham, and Columbia, and they’ll be back on the East Coast in the fall for a few dates supporting OSEES.
LUCKY DAYE
R&B artist Lucky Daye has a new album on the way, Algorithm, due out in June, and he’s announced a tour for it.
JOHN OLIVER & SETH MEYERS
John Oliver and Seth Meyers have added five dates to their 2024 residency at NYC’s Beacon Theatre.
ANIMALS AS LEADERS
Animals as Leaders will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album The Joy of Motion on tour this fall. Stops include San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Chicago, Toronto, Brooklyn (11/17 at Brooklyn Steel), Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles and more.
KREATOR / TESTAMENT / POSSESSED
German thrash legends Kreator are once again doing their ‘Klash of the Titans’ tour in North America, this time with Bay Area thrash legends Testament and Bay Area death metal pioneers Possessed.
THE JAPANESE HOUSE
The Japanese House will continue to support last year’s In the End It Always Does on tour this spring and summer. She has North American headlining shows with Skullcrusher, Miya Folick, and Abby Holliday, varying by date, festival appearances, and she’ll support Maggie Rogers at shows in May and June.
RUI GABRIEL
Rui Gabriel of the band Lawn has announced his debut solo album, Compassion, which will be out June 21 via Carpark. He’ll be on tour this summer as well.
