ONEIDA

Brooklyn indie rock lifers Oneida just released their new album Expensive Air and have a couple free hometown shows this summer: Saturday, August 10 at Rippers in Rockaway Beach with L’Eggs and DJ Ryan Sawyer, and the band’s annual matinee bash, which this year happens September 14 at Seuffert Bandshell in Queens’ Forest Park with Student Body (ex Mink Lungs) and Philly band BASIC.

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY

NJ deathcore greats Fit for an Autopsy will support their new album The Nothing That Is on tour this fall with Bodysnatcher, Distant, Sylosis, and Judiciary also on the bill. Tickets for all dates, including NYC’s Irving Plaza on 10/19, are on sale now.

DROP NINETEENS

Shoegaze greats Drop Nineteens announced a short fall tour leading up to their appearance at Levitation 2024.

UNDEATH

One day after announcing their anticipated third album More Insane, Undeath have announced a headlining fall tour.

BADBADNOTGOOD

BADBADNOTGOOD have announced a September residency at Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC.

UB40

UK reggae greats UB40, who have a lot more to their catalog than “Red Red Wine,” are currently on tour across North America with upcoming dates in Tucson, Santa Fe, DC, and more. US dates wrap up at Seaside Heights, NJ’s Seaside Heights Live on August 16.

49 WINCHESTER

49 Winchester release their new album Leavin’ This Holler on Friday and are on tour now, and their upcoming shows include two nights at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on September 10 & 11 with Maggie Antone. They’ve just announced more dates, including New Orleans, Charlottesville, Buffalo, Columbus and more.

RISE UP NYC 2024

Rise Up NYC will once again host free concerts at outdoor locations across NYC’s five boroughs this summer. This is the third season for the series, which is happening in conjunction with SummerStage, and includes a few of the shows previously announced on their lineup as well as some new events. Among those performing this year: Patti LaBelle, Sean Paul, Keith Sweat, MC Lyte, Fat Joe, and more.

JULIE BYRNE (DATES WITH PERFUME GENIUS, HELADO NEGRO)

Electronic/ambient artist Julianna Barwick has added some new shows to her schedule. She’ll be opening all dates on Perfume Genius‘ Too Bright 10th anniversary tour, which runs through September. She’ll also support Helado Negro at his NYC show at Knockdown Center on August 16.

FATHER JOHN MISTY (DATES W/ KACEY MUSGRAVES, MORE)

Father John Misty, who is releasing a best-of comp in August, will be on tour with Kacey Musgraves this fall, and he’s also just announced a few headline shows.

KING BUZZO / TREVOR DUNN / JD PINKUS

Melvins’ King Buzzo and Mr Bungle’s Trevor Dunn begin their collaborative tour with Butthole Surfers’ JD Pinkus on Thursday at Pappy & Harriets in Pioneertown, CA, and will make their way around the US and Canada through September. The tour hits the NYC-area at Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on 9/1 and Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on 9/4.

OMNI

Atlanta trio Omni will warm up for their September UK/EU tour with a NYC show at TV Eye on September 1, which is part of the 4th annual Bands Bikes & BBQ party that also features TVOD, Venus Twins, Valley Gals, The Licks and Michael Karson. Tickets and more info here.
