BEBEL GILBERTO
Bossa Nova royalty Bebel Gilberto has announced North American dates in support of her new album João that’s out now. Things kick off in Brooklyn on May 16 at The Opera House and from there she heads to Seattle, San Francisco and Honolulu.
DJ SHADOW
DJ Shadow has announced a fall leg of his Action Adventure tour where he’ll play Kansas City, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Ottawa, Montreal, Richmond, Asheville, Austin, Tucson, Anaheim and more throughout October.
ANGEL OLSEN
Angel Olsen is going on a solo tour of intimate venues.
THE COMMODORES / THE POINTER SISTERS
Soul / R&B / funk / disco legends The Commodores and The Pointer Sisters are teaming up for a tour celebrating 56 years of Motown, with dates this summer and fall. They hit Wantagh, NY on July 25 at Jones Beach.
FUTURE / METRO BOOMIN
After releasing a pair of collaborative albums over the last month, Future and Metro Boomin will hit the road together starting in July.
CLUTCH / RIVAL SONS
Clutch and Rival Sons have announced a co-headlining tour with support from Fu Manchu and Black Stone Cherry depending on the show. The tour includes a NYC show at Brooklyn Paramount on September 5 with Fu Manchu.
GUIDED BY VOICES
With their 40th (!) album on the way, Guided by Voices have announced even more North American tour dates.
THE JESUS LIZARD
Noise rock greats The Jesus Lizard are back in action and while details are scant about just how much they’re back, they are playing shows. They’ll warm up for CA’s No Values Fest with a very intimate show at Nashville’s The Blue Room @ Third Man Records on June 6, and they’re also on tap for Best Friends Forever in Vegas in October.
DESCENDENTS / CIRCLE JERKS
After wrapping up their spring tour together, Descendents and Circle Jerks will return to the road for more co-headlining shows in the fall.
CINDY LEE / FREAK HEAT WAVES
Cindy Lee‘s new triple album Diamond Jubilee is one of the most celebrated albums of the year and they’re on tour right now with fellow Canadian act and collaborators Freak Heat Waves — whose Steven Lind co-produced the album — and have added more dates, including a new NYC show.
GREEN DAY
Like they did in NYC earlier this year, Green Day have how taken their “Hella Tiny Tour” to California.
UNDEROATH
Underoath already announced that they’d be performing their beloved 2004 album They’re Only Chasing Safety in full for its 20th anniversary at When We Were Young this year, and now they’ve announced a full tour of North America that will find them playing the entire LP, plus a unique fan-voted second set each night.
KHRUANGBIN / UNKNOWN MORTAL ORCHESTRA
With their new album A LA SALA freshly out, Khruangbin have hit the road and will be busy through the fall, including multi-show runs at CO’s Red Rocks and NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium. They’ve just added two nights at Hollywood Bowl on August 10 & 11 with Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Head here for all dates.

Shabaka, who just released the fantastic new album Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace, has added more dates to his current North American tour.

Isaiah Rashad will continue celebrating 10 years of his 2014 debut EP on the road in May and June.
SUDDEN LITTLE THRILLS FEST
New Pittsburgh music festival Sudden Little Thrills has announced its inaugural edition, with The Killers, SZA, and more.
ALL THINGS GO 2024
Baltimore/DC-area festival All Things Go returns for its 10 year anniversary edition on September 28 and 29 at Merriweather Post Pavilion. The 2024 lineup is lead by Laufey with the Kennedy Center Orchestra, Bleachers, and Janelle Monae on Saturday, and Hozier, Reneé Rapp, and Conan Gray on Sunday.
SUPERDRAG
Nineties power-pop alt-rockers Superdrag have announced their first Chicago show in 15 years, playing Subterranean on July 25. Let’s hope they play more shows around the country.
PERENNIAL
New England dance-punk/post-hardcore band Perennial’s new album comes out in June, and they’ll be touring, too.
DARK DAYS BRIGHT NIGHTS FEST
Virginia record labels Persistent Vision Records and Yr Screaming Youth are throwing a Richmond post-hardcore/screamo/metal/etc fest called Dark Days Bright Nights, with pageninetynine, Portrayal of Guilt, Thou, Young Widows, and more.
ANDRA DAY
Andra Day will release her third album, CASSANDRA (cherith), on May 10, and will preview that with NYC shows at Blue Note on May 6 (early and late) as part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival. Those are currently the only shows on her schedule.
NO JOY
“Does 3 shows count as a tour?” asks No Joy’s Jasamine White-Gluz, before answerying, “It does now! see you soon west coast USA.” No Joy play Los Angeles and Vegas surrounding their appearance at the Schellraiser Festival over Memorial Day Weekend.
FESTIVAL D’ÉTÉ DE QUÉBEC
Quebec City’s massive annual Festival d’été de Québec happens July 4-14, and the lineup this year is, as usual, all over the place, including Nas, Carly Rae Jepsen, Mötley Crue, Loud Luxury, Alexandra Stréliski, The Zac Brown Band, The Dead South, Future Islands, Martha Wainwright, Vieux Farka Touré, Bombino, Ibibio Sound Machine, Helena Deland, and much much more.
INDIE PLAZA
Saturday is Record Store Day, and as part of their festivities, NYC’s Rough Trade is presenting the free Indieplaza festival outside on Rockefeller Plaza. The lineup has expanded and the full roster of bands playing from noon – 6 PM includes Montreal’s Corridor (replacing Water From Your Eyes), Dehd, Armand Hammer, Cloud Nothings, Glitterer, Snooper, Sunny War, Wishy, and a Nancy Whang DJ set.
HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS
Hawthorne Heights are throwing the third edition of their nostalgia-heavy, multi-city emo festival series, Is For Lovers, this summer, and some of the same bands playing those fests will also play the “20 Years of Tears tour,” including Thursday, Saosin, Armor For Sleep, Anberlin, Cartel, Stick To Your Guns, and more.
SHAKIRA
Shakira’s “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” is her first since 2018.
