JAPANESE BREAKFAST

Japanese Breakfast just announced a new album and spring tour, and she’s already add second dates in some cities, including Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco, and NYC (Brooklyn Paramount on May 9 & 10). All dates, which are with Ginger Root, are here.

BONNAROO 2025

Bonnaroo’s 2025 lineup has Olivia Rodrigo, Insane Clown Posse, Tyler, Justice, QOTSA, three nights of King Gizzard, Vampire Weekend, and more.

DUCKS LTD / THE BUG CLUB

Canadian jangle-pop duo Ducks Ltd and UK shouty punks The Bug Club will be on tour together in the Western Half of North America this spring surrounding their appearances at Treefort Fest in Boise. Stops include Portland, Denver, Oklahoma, Austin (not SXSW though), Houston, Las Vegas, LA and more. This is a terrific double bill — bring it east!

BOB MOULD / CRAIG FINN

Bob Mould just announced a new album and 2025 tour dates, many of which are with Craig Finn.

YOUTH LAGOON

Youth Lagoon will be on tour this in support of their just-announced new album.

COMEBACK KID

Canadian melodic hardcore vets Comeback Kid are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2005 sophomore album Wake the Dead by performing it in full on a February/March 2025 US tour, and they’re taking along some other great bands, varying by date, including Cancer Bats, Defeater, Koyo, Orthodox, and Desmadre.

FRAIL / WINDSOR FOR THE DERBY

Straight-edge hardcore/screamo band Frail, who put out some Numero Group reissues last year, are gearing up for some reunion shows this year, including NYC shows with Windsor for the Derby.

WINTER WONDERLAND PUNK PROM

Local bands Fat Heaven, Castle Black, Eliza and the Organix, and Mars Ray & The Raptures are playing Winter Wonderland Punk Prom on January 17 at Brooklyn Music Kitchen (177 Vanderbilt Ave).

PARADISE LOST / GIGAN / TROUBLE

UK gothic metal/death-doom legends Paradise Lost have announced their first North American tour in years, with support varying by date from US tech-death greats Gigan and Chicago doom pioneers Trouble.

DAZE LABEL TOUR W/ TORTURE, BALMOREA, MORE

Northeast hardcore label DAZE has announced its own label package tour for this April with five great bands from the heavy hardcore/metal underground, Torture, Balmora, Sanction (their first tour since returning at LDBBB last year), Final Resting Place, and Azshara.

BARRY MANILOW

Barry Manilow, the original Williamsburg musician, has announced another Radio City Music Hall residency which runs April 9 – 13. After that he’ll be out on what he’s calling his final shows, hitting Pittsburgh, Philly, Providence, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, and more.

HAMILTON LEITHAUSER

The Walkmen’s Hamilton Leithauser has upcoming dates in support of his new solo album, including another residency at NYC’s Cafe Carlyle.
