MELISSA ETHERIDGE / INDIGO GIRLS

Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls have teamed up for a late summer co-headlining tour that includes an NYC show at Kings Theatre on August 20. Before the dates with Etheridge, Indigo Girls will be in NYC for Lincoln Center’s American Songbook Series on March 28 where they’ll perform live and talk with Ann Powers. All dates are here.

PJ HARVEY

PJ Harvey has announced a fall tour in support of her 2023 album I Inside the Old Year Dying. While she was in Brooklyn last year for an event featuring music, poetry and conversation, this is Harvey’s first North American tour in seven years.

THE NATIONAL / THE WAR ON DRUGS

The National and The War on Drugs are hitting the road together in North America this fall for a co-headlining tour, with Lucius joining them as support on most dates.

DIIV

DIIV have announced a North American tour in support of their upcoming album Frog in Boiling Water. The tour starts June 6 in Santa Cruz and concludes at NYC’s Brooklyn Paramount on August 7.

NATION OF LANGUAGE (DATES WITH BEACH FOSSILS, IAN SWEET)

NYC synthpop band Nation of Language have added more dates to their 2024 tour schedule, which includes co-headlining shows with Beach Fossils and headline dates with newly announced opener Ian Sweet. Ahead of their tour they play three sold-out shows at Bowery Ballroom this weekend.

FRONT 242

Front 242, the Belgian industrial/EBM icons, are calling it a day, at least from touring, having announced what they say are their final live dates, including a US run this fall.

SOMETHING CORPORATE

After playing some select shows, Something Corporate have announced their first tour since their 2010 reunion, and first with their original lineup in over 20 years.

WAR – THE WORLD IS A GHETTO 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR

War will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their psychedelic soul classic The World is a Ghetto by playing it on tour this year. So far there are West Coast, Southwest and Southern dates announced, and the band say more are to come.

NATHANIEL RATELIFF LEONARD COHEN TRIBUTE

Nathaniel Rateliff is performing a tribute to Leonard Cohen backed by the Wordless Orchestra at Denver’s Boettcher Hall on April 5 & 6 and he’s just announced he’ll bring it to Toronto and Montreal after. “Leonard Cohen is one of my favorite songwriters and given that he grew up in Canada, it only made sense to bring this show to Toronto and Montreal,” he says. “Truly honored to celebrate his life and work with a 40 piece orchestra (The Wordless Orchestra).” Phil Cook is opening both shows. TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND

Tedeschi Trucks Band have announced spring, summer and fall dates for their Deuces Wild tour which kick off May 22 in Portland, wrap up in the NYC area on October 9, and feature openers Little Feat, Margo Price and Greensky Bluegrass depending on the date. There are a number of NYC-area shows, actually: Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre on September 24 & 25, Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on September 27 & 28, and Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on October 8 & 9.

TAMMY FAYE STARLITE PRESENTS NICO UNDERGROUND

Tammy Faye Starlite is bringing NICO: UNDERGROUND, her tribute to the onetime Velvet Underground singer, back to Joe’s Pub for a May residency happening 5/1, 5/8, 5/15 and 5/22. More info: “Nico: Underground finds Tammy Faye Starlite inhabiting the Warhol superstar and Velvet Underground centerpiece who was born Christa Päffgen in pre-war Cologne. Starlite spent the better part of five years developing the original script that draws from videos, interviews, biographies and rare recordings, as well as first person interviews with those who personally knew the Teutonic chanteuse. This seriocomic portrayal is a masterful characterization that includes performances of songs by Lou Reed, Jim Morrison, Jackson Browne, David Bowie, Rogers and Hart, Gordon Lightfoot and Bob Dylan, as well as Nico’s own compositions.”

Tierra Whack‘s new album World Wide Whack is out in March, and she’ll celebrate its release in NYC.

SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE – “SUMMER’S LAST RAYS”

Six Organs of Admittance have announced West Coast dates in support of their upcoming album Time is Glass, hitting San Francisco, L.A., Ojai, Portland, Seattle and Anacortes, WA in May and June.

EVOLUTION FESTIVAL

Saint Louis, MO’s Evolution Festival has announced its 2024 edition, happening on September 28 and 29 at Forest Park. It’s headlined by The Killers and Beck, and the lineup also features Jane’s Addiction, Blondie, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Killer Mike, Todd Rundgren, Son Volt, S.G. Goodman, and more.
