ANOHNI AND THE JOHNSONS
ANOHNI is playing shows with The Johnsons again for the first time in 14 years, and the North American leg of her tour begins in Mexico on Tuesday (9/24). She’ll be in Los Angeles for shows at Walt Disney Concert Hall on 9/27 and 9/28, and the tour wraps up at Brooklyn’s BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on October 18 and 19.
STEVIE WONDER
Pop great Stevie Wonder will be out on the Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart tour just before Election Day.
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM NYC RESIDENCY
LCD Soundsystem have announced their annual NYC holiday residency, which this year is 12 shows over three weekends at Knockdown Center.
METALLICA
Metallica have extended their M72 World Tour into 2025. Like on the previous legs, they’re doing No Repeat Weekends in most cities, meaning each city gets a two-night stand with unique setlists and different openers each night.
KATE NASH W/ SHAMIR, SKATING POLLY, MORE
Kate Nash will be on tour supporting her new album 9 Sad Symphonies starting October 11 in Philly, and she’s now announced support, which includes Shamir, Skating Polly, Revenge Wife, and Joh Chase. The tour hits NYC at Racket on October 12 with Revenge Wife.
COMMON & PETE ROCK
Common & Pete Rock are currently on their Auditorium tour and have added a couple NYC stops: they’ll stop by Rough Trade on September 22 for a signing before their Blue Note residency, and will play Webster Hall on September 27 after. All dates are here.
DUA LIPA
Dua Lipa has added additional LA and NYC shows to her upcoming Radical Optimism tour.
THE CHISEL / BIG BOY / ANGEL DU$T
The Chisel, Big Boy and Angel Du$t are playing shows with Speed next week and they’ve each added a few other shows surrounding them.
COALESCE
Kansas City mathcore vets Coalesce recently are reuniting for the first time in 12 years to play Alabama’s Furnace Fest and are playing a few other dates after (Brooklyn on 10/19 and Philly on 10/20, both with Cave In). They’ve just added two more shows: Chicago’s Beat Kitchen on 12/6 with Meth and Electric Hawk, and Kansas City’s Record Bar on 12/7 with Spine and Conflicts.
BUFFALO TOM ‘PLEASE COME TO BOSTON’ MINI-FEST
Buffalo Tom are throwing a three-day mini fest called Please Come to Boston on November 1-3 where they will perform one full album each date — Let Me Come Over (Friday); Big Red Letter Day (Saturday); and 1995’s Sleepy Eyed (Sunday) — plus other musicians and comedians are playing too.
GUNNA
Rapper Gunna has announced the Wun of Dem Nights Tour which has him out in October and November with stops in DC, NYC (Brooklyn Paramount on 10/21), Boston, Wallingford, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Las Vegas, and LA.
ALL THINGS GO DC & NYC
All Things Go returns next weekend (September 28-29) for its DC-area and first-ever NYC editions, happening at Merriweather Post Pavilion and Forest Hills Stadium. They’ve announced the set times for both editions.
DISTURBIN’ THE PEACE
Hardcore label Flatspot Records is once again throwing its one-day Disturbin’ The Peace mini festival at Baltimore Soundstage on February 1, including Speed, Angel Du$t, NYHC vets Dmize’s first-ever Baltimore show, Jivebomb, Raw Brigade, Life’s Question, Queensway, Sinister Feeling, Leave No Doubt, Backlash, and Erode.
DINOSAUR IMPROV LIVE (PAUL SCHEER, JASON MANTZOUKAS, MORE)
Paul Scheer is taking his Dinosaur Improv live show out of L.A. for a few East Coast shows and bringing Jason Mantzoukas, Rob Riggle, Nicole Buyer, and more with him.
