JAWBOX (BEST FRIENDS FOREVER WARM-UP SHOW)
Jawbox are playing Las Vegas festival Best Friends Forever, and as a warm-up will play Lancaster, PA’s Tellus 360 on October 5 with Samuel SC before heading to Vegas.
GOOSE
Goose have announced more headline dates for their 2024 tour, which happen in September. This new run begins in the NYC area at Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on September 1 and continues through 9/2 in Stanford, CA, with shows in Minneapolis, SLC, Seattle, Los Angeles and more. Their summer tour includes a big NYC show at Forest Hills Stadium on June 29.
BELEW / VAI / LEVIN / CAREY PLAY ’80S KING CRIMSON
Adrian Belew and Tony Levin, who both played in King Crimson in the ’80s, will be performing that material with Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey as BEAT on tour this fall. King Crimson founder Robert Fripp actually suggested the name — it’s title of King Crimson’s 1982 album — and gave them his blessing. In addition to songs from Beat, the quartet will also perform songs from 1981’s Discipline and 1984’s Three Of A Perfect Pair.
ELO
Jeff Lynne‘s ELO recently announced what they say is their final tour, a 27-show North American run in August, September, and October. They’ve now added second nights in a few cities, including NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
PROTOMARTYR
Protomartyr have announced a short North American tour that hits East Coast and Midwest dates in June, including Montreal, Boston, Philly, Brooklyn, Baltimore, Chicago and more.
CROWBAR
New Orleans sludge metal vets Crowbar are currently on tour with Little Rock, AK’s Morbid Visionz, and they’ll stop in NYC on April 13 for a Rocks Off Cruise.
MISERY SIGNALS
Metalcore vets Misery Signals have announced what they they is their final tour, the “Blood is Forever Love is Forever Farewell Tour.” They’ll be joined by previous vocalist Karl Schubach and original vocalist Jesse Zaraska (who rejoined the band in 2014) for the shows, which they say “will feature career-spanning sets with both Jesse Zaraska and Karl Schubach performing songs from their respective Misery Signals albums.”
KILLER MIKE
Killer Mike already announced some festival sets this summer and fall, including Lollapalooza, Newport Folk, Evolution, and THING, and now he’s announced a headlining tour around those dates. He’ll be backed by his choir The Midnight Revival for the new shows, which run from May through October in North America.
SANTIGOLD
Santigold is playing Redondo Beach, CA’s BeachLife Festival in May, and she’s announced a new run of North American shows after it, starting in San Francisco on June 27 and running through October 3 in Portland. She’ll stop in Chicago, Toronto, Boston, NYC, Vancouver, and more
PEDRO THE LION
David Bazan announced Santa Cruz, the third Pedro The Lion reunion album and seventh PTL album overall, due June 7 via Polyvinyl. He’ll also take PTL on tour.
GLADIE
Gladie have announced a short Northeast run with Shit Present and Talking Kind, hitting Cambridge’s Warehouse XL on May 20, Brooklyn’s The Broadway on May 21, and Philly’s Johnny Brenda’s on May 22. Meanwhile, Gladie are currently on tour with Jeff Rosenstock and Sidney Gish and all dates are here.
PRINCE DADDY & THE HYENA
Emo torch-carriers Prince Daddy & the Hyena have announced a headlining tour with some great, well-matched support coming from Saturdays At Your Place, Riley!, and Carpool.
BEACHWOOD SPARKS
Psychedelic alt-country vets Beachwood Sparks announced their first album in 12 years along with a few tour dates.
ORVILLE PECK
Orville Peck, who’s showing more of his face than ever these days, has announced a new run of North American dates. His “Stampede Tour” begins in May and runs through October, and includes rescheduled dates from last summer. Durand Jones, Debbii Dawson, The War and Treaty, Goldie Boutilier, Jaime Wyatt, Gold Star, Nikki Lane, Emily Nenni, and Vincent Neil Emerson each open select shows.
HEART / CHEAP TRICK
Heart have added a fall leg to their Royal Flush Tour with Cheap Trick, which kicks off September 26 in San Francisco and wraps up December 15 in Las Vegas, including a stop at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.
DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL
Dashboard Confessional have announced an extensive fall tour surrounding their appearances at the When We Were Young festival (where they’ll be playing Dusk and Summer in full). Support comes from aughts-era pop punks Boys Like Girls and newer pop punk torch-carrier Taylor Acorn.
OLD 97’S / RHETT MILLER
Old 97’s release their new album this week and just announced a couple NYC shows; frontman Rhett Miller announced a solo show too.
MILDLIFE
Australian proggy disco band Mildlife will support their excellent new album Chorus with a fall North American tour. Dates begin October 2 in Santa Cruz and wrap up at the 2024 Hulaween Festival in Live Oak, FL.
GILLES PETERSON
BBC presenter, DJ and Acid Jazz / Talkin’ Loud founder Gilles Peterson will be in Brooklyn for a “a straight up 6 hour ‘open till close’ session” at Good Room on May 5.
NEW ENGLAND METAL AND HARDCORE FEST
New England Metal & Hardcore Fest has announced its 2024 lineup, and it’s looking pretty stacked. It’ll be headlined by a 25th anniversary set from Killswitch Engage, and it also includes Suicidal Tendencies, Machine Head, Converge, Bane, Nails, Overkill, Better Lovers, Full of Hell, Incendiary, The Red Chord, Integrity, With Honor, 200 Stab Wounds, and more.
ROCKLAHOMA 2024
Rocklahoma, which was acquired by Danny Wimmer Presents, has announced its 2024 lineup which includes Avenged Sevenfold, Evanescence, Halestorm , Disturbed, A Day to Remember, Skillet, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Mastodon and more (including…Winger?).
