Here’s a roundup of recent tour news. Check the Tour Dates category for more.

BANE

Baltimore hardcore vets Bane are heading out on thier first tour in eight years (with Terror, Cro-Mags, Stick to Your Guns and more) and have added more dates, including Pawtucket, RI and Portland ME. The tour was originally set to start in Lake Como, NJ, but that show’s moved to Rutherford, NJ’s The Blackbox on 10/11, and they hit NYC next, at Brooklyn Monarch on 10/12.

MICHAEL SHANNON & JASON NARDUCY PLAY R.E.M.

In the first part of this year Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy took their R.E.M. album tribute show on the road, playing Murmur in full plus other songs with a band that included Jon Wurster (drums), Dag Juhlin (guitar), and Vijay Tellis-Nayak (keyboards). It was a good time and they’re gonna do it again in 2025, this time focusing on R.E.M.’s 1985 third album, Fables of the Reconstruction.

THIS WILL DESTROY YOU

Texas post-rock greats This Will Destroy You are marking their 20th anniversary this year, and they’ve announced a tour performing their 2008 self-titled album in full for the occasion. Glassing open.

TSUNAMI & IDA

Fans of ’90s indie label Simple Machines take note: Tsunami and Ida are both coming out of retirement for a co-headline tour.

MOLLY TUTTLE & GOLDEN HIGHWAY

Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway are on tour now and have added a show in Asheville, NC on 11/13. Other dates include Fresno, DC, Buffalo, Santa Barbara and more.

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE

QOTSA have announced rescheduled dates for shows that were postponed due to Josh Homme needing “essential medical care” following emergency surgery.

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM NYC HOLIDAY RESIDENCY

LCD Soundsystem have shared more details about their upcoming Knockdown Center residency, including openers and more.

RINGO STARR

“Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest,” says Ringo Starr’s official statement cancelling this week’s NYC and Philly shows.

MICHELLE

NYC six-piece MICHELLE release Songs About You this week and are currently on tour with Still Woozy, including two nights at The Rooftop at Pier 17 on October 24 & 25. They’ve also just announced a 2025 headline tour that kicks off January 30 in Toronoto and wraps up with two hometown shows in Brooklyn at Music Hall of Williamsburg on February 20 & 21.

HOW LONG GONE LIVE

FRANZ FERDINAND

Franz Ferdinand have announced 2025 North American dates in support of their upcoming album, The Human Fear.

THE DARE

The Dare, who just released new album What’s Wrong With New York?, is on tour now with dates in Europe and Australia this fall. He’ll wrap up his 2024 with a hometown NYC New Year’s Eve show at Knockdown Center.

ADVANCE BASE

Owen Ashworth’s first Advance Base album in 6 years comes out this December via Run For Cover, and he’ll be on tour throughout the rest of 2024.
