ANITTA
Brazilian artist Anitta announced her first-ever North American tour earlier this week and has added a few more dates since then, including a second NYC show. She’s now playing shows at Brooklyn Paramount on June 2 & 3. All dates are here.
COWBOY JUNKIES
Slowcore / country greats Cowboy Junkies are on tour as we speak, including a few dates opening for Mitski. Head here for all dates.
BÔA
One of the latest TikTok-assisted ’90s alt-rock resurgences is Bôa, the UK band whose 1998 song “Duvet” is now more massive than ever, and they’re capitalizing on it with new music and a North American tour.
MAGGIE ROGERS
Maggie Rogers will play her new album in full at a series of theater shows this weekend and next week, and she’s added a fall arena run to her 2024 tour plans.
GIMME SOME 90’S HARDCORE FEST
A bunch of ’90s hardcore / post-hardcore veterans are teaming up for a fest at Garden Grove, CA’s Garden Amphitheatre, including Into Another, Gameface, Outspoken, Verbal Assault, Shades Apart, By the Grace of God, and more. Tickets are on sale now.
HEAD AUTOMATICA
Glassjaw vocalist Daryl Palumbo‘s power pop band Head Automatica reunited last year for their first tour in over 10 years, and now they’ve announced their first NYC show since 2010.
MAGNITUDE / COMBUST / BALMORA
Hardcore bands Magnitude, Combust, and Balmora are hitting the road together this June. The NYC-area gets Long Island (Shakers Pub on June 8) and New Jersey (Salty’s Beach Bar on June 23) shows and they’re also hitting the Midwest, Texas, Florida, and more.
CROWDED HOUSE
New Zealand greats Crowded House will tour this year for their new album Gravity Stairs.
RICH RUTH
Nashville experimental/ambient musician Rich Ruth has signed to Third Man, and will release his debut for the label, Water Still Flows, on June 21. He’ll also be on tour, including dates with Mikaela Davis and All Them Witches.
YHWH NAILGUN
YHWH Nailgun have a couple shows this spring, hitting Philly (Ukie Club on 4/25 with Could Court and Fernette) and NYC (Stone Circle Theatre on 5/10 with Anastasia Coope and Grant Chapman) before hopping accross the pond for the UK’s Great Escape Festival and a UK/EU tour.
MORGAN WADE
Morgan Wade has announced a tour supporting her upcoming album Psychopath.
MISERY SIGNALS
Earlier this month, metalcore vets Misery Signals announced their final tour, for which they’ll be joined by previous vocalist Karl Schubach and original vocalist Jesse Zaraska (who rejoined the band in 2014). It includes a Brooklyn show at Warsaw on July 26, with Zaos, Boundaries, and Foreign Hands. That’s now sold out, so they’ve added a second NYC show.
