The Black Keys playing “America Loves Crypto” show in Ohio

It’s been a tough year for the The Black Keys. They cancelled their fall arena tour and fired their managers, with Patrick Carney saying the band “got fucked” in the process. There’s been no word yet on the “revised set of dates” that they said would “enable us to offer a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band” yet, but they did announce a show in Ohio this month as part of the “America Loves Crypto” tour, which is put together by a group called the Stand with Crypto Alliance (their stated goal is to “mobilize the 52 million American crypto owners into a powerful force”). Registration to attend is open now (and yes, they ask for the address of your crypto wallet) and it happens on October 25 at Akron Civic Theatre.

The show doubles as a get out the vote effort, with the description reading, “This fall, Stand With Crypto hit the road, touring 6 states to rally the 5 million crypto owners that might just decide the 2024 election.”

The Chainsmokers, Lauv, Big Sean, Jessie Murph, 070 Shake, and Black Pumas played previous events on the “America Loves Crypto” tour.
