The Alchemist & Oh No’s new Gangrene album has a song called “Dinosaur Jr”
Back in February, The Alchemist released an EP with Hit-Boy that had a song titled “Morrissey,” and today he put out an album that has a song titled “Dinosaur Jr.” The album in question is from Gangrene, his long-running collaboration with Oh No, and it’s titled Heads I Win, Tails You Love.
The song “Dinosaur Jr” doesn’t mention the indie rock icons or members J. Mascis, Lou Barlow, or Murph by name, but it does namecheck a few actual dinosaurs and this rhyme comes midway through: “Lay him out flat like a top scam / Marshall amplifiers on the stage, I’m in a rock band.”
Listen to that below.
