Team behind Berlin club Griessmuehle reveals new venue, Revier Südost, in former brewery
The outdoor section of the venue, dubbed Baergarten, opened to the public last weekend, with doors now opening daily from 2 PM. It’s unclear when the rest of the space will open. (As of September 1st, dancing inside is still forbidden in Berlin.)
In the months since leaving the old venue in Neukölln, the team has hosted events at two other Berlin clubs, Alte Münze and Polygon.
The original Griessmuehle opened in 2011 on the site of a former pasta factory. They were forced out of the venue in February by the owners, SIAG Property II GmbH. Hundreds of people took to the streets to protest the closure.
