Talking Heads announce ‘Stop Making Sense’ deluxe edition soundtrack: CD-Blu-ray w/ Dolby Atmos mix ++ vinyl repress

Talking Heads released their iconic concert film Stop Making Sense in a restored 4K print via A24 in 2023, and now they’ve announced a deluxe edition of the the soundtrack album available as a 2-CD/Blu-ray, along with a repress of last year’s deluxe edition double LP vinyl. Both will be out on July 26 via Rhino. Pre-order now.

The CD/Blu-ray edition features the entire concert across two CDs and a Blu-ray featuring the Dolby Atmos spatial audio mix of the complete concert by Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison and E.T. Thorngren, who worked on the original soundtrack album, plus a formatted version of the booklet that came with the 2023 deluxe edition vinyl featuring liner notes from all four band members — Tina Weymouth, David Byrne, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison — plus photos from the film.

The vinyl edition is just a new repress of last year’s (sold-out) deluxe edition with the full concert across two vinyl albums and a 12-page booklet.
