Stella Rose (Dave Gahan’s daughter) preps new EP, shares “Ms. 45” video
Stella Rose, who is the daughter of Depeche Mode‘s Dave Gahan, will release a new EP, Hollybaby, on December 13 via KRO Records. Like Stella’s debut album, this was made with producer and KRO co-founder Yves Rothman (Blondshell, Eartheater, Bartees Strange), and recorded during the hottest week in Los Angeles this summer.
The first single from the EP is “Ms. 45,” an operatic bit of synthpop that takes its title from Abel Ferrara’s 1981 cult classic horror-thriller. “It was hot,” says Stella of recording the song. “The vocals barely treading water. The mic a live wire. The words came out like poetry. Scenes from Taxi Driver blaring off my computer screen. New York was present in this Los Angeles daze.”

Stella will be on tour in Europe and the UK in November and all dates are below.
